The seller, Ketan Sharma, told the complainant that Megha Mittal, a resident of Ambala's Shashtri Nagar, was the relative whose name was on the car's registration.

A Panchkula doctor fell prey to a scam while trying to purchase a used automobile on an internet marketplace, losing Rs 7.50 lakh in the process. Dr. Rashmi, who works at the Civil Hospital in Sector 6, claimed that the accused has started threatening her life and threatening to bring false charges against her family.

Dr. Rashmi, a Sector 12 resident, claims that her family had been searching OLX for a used automobile. The family saw an advertising for a Maruti S-Cross automobile in June of last year; it was advertised at Rs 7.50 lakh. The automobile was registered in the name of the complainant's relative, Megha Mittal, who lives in Ambala's Shashtri Nagar, according to the vendor, Ketan Sharma. He further informed the doctor that the customer had financed the automobile through Mahindra Finance, and that there is an outstanding loan of Rs 5.58 lakh on the vehicle.The accused got Dr. Rashmi to give him Rs. 7.50 lakh so he could pay off the debt. When the car's no-objection certificate (NOC) was obtained within ten days of payment, he pledged to give her the vehicle. The accused received a check for Rs 7.50 lakh from the complainant on July 2, as per the decision. When the complainant persisted, the accused allegedly threatened to murder her and bring false charges against her family. Megha Mittal and her father Mohit Mittal, along with Ketan Sharma, were named in a lawsuit.
